Puro956 Voter Sticker Contest
In honor of the municipal elections coming up on May 6, 2023, Texas Turnout teamed up with Trucha to host the Puro956 Voter Sticker Contest. The contest will open on Feb 15, 2023 and end on March 29, 2023. We will run a social media voting campaign where people will have the opportunity to vote on the top 5 stickers. Once the campaign ends, we will announce the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. The winning stickers will be printed for outreach to promote voting in municipal elections.
The Puro956 Voter Sticker Contest is an opportunity for artists, designers, and creators to participate by answering the question: What does it mean to be a Valley voter? We encourage you to highlight parts of the Valley that you love through imagery, slang, and color choices. Your submission should also highlight underrepresented voting communities.
Prizes
We can’t have a contest without any prizes! We will announce winners on March 31, 2023.
1st Place Winner: $250 Stipend
2nd Place Winner:$200 Stipend
3rd Place Winner: $150 Stipend
Anyone from the RGV or surrounding border region (Diaz Ordaz, Reynosa, Matamoros, etc). High school and College students are encouraged to submit a piece.
Any RGV imagery or slang. Highlight parts of the Valley that you love.
Please submit your design as a JPG.
You may submit 2 designs.
5 sticker designs will be chosen by the Texas Turnout team. The selected 5 designs will be posted on Instagram, where the community will vote for their favorite designs.
