Pluma Libre Fellowship:

Trucha’s Pluma Libre Journalism Fellowship is a 2-month fellowship that happens every year for aspiring journalists who want to learn more about movement journalism and develop stories about Rio Grande Valley’s culture, arts, and social justice activism. Their developing stories will be told from their own unique and innovative perspectives.

The program began in 2023 and continued in 2024.

In 2023, 3 fellows collectively wrote and produced 3 website articles, 3 Instagram articles, and 3 videos.

In 2024, 6 fellows collectively wrote and produced 5 website articles, 6 Instagram articles, and 5 videos. Check out their videos here!
